fortissimo to
pianissimo explores the softness to loudness of critical
mass regarding artwork installation with extreme order
in mind. The work featured in this exhibition
ranges from very small to very large two-dimensional works,
to floor and wall drawings, to three-dimensional sculpture,
to video, to poetry, to musical composition, to work created
by nature itself. I treated the exhibition space
as though it were the interior of my mind where all work
is present and unedited. Along with the exhibition,
and based on works in the show, there will be a concert
performed by Tom Goldstein and the UMBC Percussion Ensemble. Also,
at the gallery talk Nathan Knauer will comment on his creation
of “Short Story for Percussion” and our collaboration
based on this piece.
